About mouseclicktest.app

What this site is

mouseclicktest.app is a set of free mouse tests that run in your browser. It is published by Takreparation Skåne AB in Ängelholm, Sweden.

How the tests measure

Every test reads the standard mouse events your browser already gives every web page: pointer and mouse events for buttons and movement, wheel events for scrolling, and their timestamps. The polling rate test also uses coalesced or raw pointer updates where the browser offers them.

All counting and timing happens on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere.

What it cannot tell you

A browser sees the mouse only after the operating system and the browser have handled it. So the polling rate, DPI and latency results are estimates, and the page says so when a browser limits a result.
